Equipment, continued

Flat bed single axle straight trucks are needed to get the cherries from the orchard to the processing plant. Each truck load of cherries weighs 14 tons. The state now requires our drivers to have a cdl license.

our newest truck
Standard industrial forklifts are used for moving cherry tanks around the cooling pad and onto the trucks.

Here empties are being lined up to be filled with cold water and taken back into the orchard to be refilled with cherries.

In this photo we can see one of our custom built forklifts. They are built from Chevy trucks. We strip them down to the chassis and weld new superstructures, then add the hydraulic system and forks.

Behind the forklift is our Coe double incline shaker.

Jim King test drives a newly built custom forklift a few weeks before harvest.

These custom forklifts outperform tractors in the orchard. In addition to giving us more speed, they ride better, which results in less spillage as the cherries are brought out over rough ground.

 Apple Journal
Tens of thousands of us suffer from chronic and often debilitating pain. Many strategies and products have emerged promising relief. Sorting through the claims and counter-claims is not easy.

We recommend that you become informed and excercise discretion when reading promises of miracle cures. The connection between diet and pain management has been solidly established, and research continues. As always, consulting closely with your physician is essential in any pain management program.
